Both share the same Sheryl markings, but the VF-25F is far more vibrant and beautiful.
Unlike the YF-29, where the darker base color makes the colors look a bit muddy,
the VF-25F has a white base, so the seals' colors come through at 100%.

Just like the 1/100 YF-29, the VF-25F also got a Sheryl Marking Version released shortly after. The base molded color of the VF-25F remains white as before, with only the canopy, small wings, verniers, and weapons changed to red.

The Sheryl markings on the VF-25F are larger, crisper, and more vibrant than on the YF-29. Since such a large area is covered with seals, the seal work does take a bit more time — but on the flip side, it feels like the panel lining you actually need to do is cut by more than half. And best of all, since the base color is white, the seals' colors come through at 100%, giving everything that big, bright, vivid look. Sheryl-sama is so much prettier and more striking here ^^

When you put it next to the YF-29 Sheryl Marking Version, the color contrast is so dramatic that if I had to recommend just one of the two, I'd have to go with the VF-25F ^^ (Though if you're a Sheryl fan, obviously get both..)

Either way, the effect after applying the seals is just so striking that this has to be the standout piece of the entire 1/100 Macross Frontier series. The seal quality is great, and since they're soft seals they conform to curved surfaces fairly smoothly, so even us regular folks can get through the work without too much trouble — which makes this marking version kit all the more recommended :-)
