This kit is a limited edition 1/48 Mega Size First released to commemorate the Gundam 30th Anniversary 1:1 RG Gundam Project. As many of you know, it was displayed in Odaiba and Shizuoka — for more on that, check out the Shizuoka 1:1 Gundam Reviewfor reference.
Basically, the core contents of this kit are identical to the normal version. The runners and molded colors are all the same with no changes — but as a limited edition, it comes with additional Gundam Project waterslide decals and beam saber display parts from the Shizuoka exhibition version. I honestly thought at least the molded colors would be a little different, so I was slightly disappointed to find the base kit is completely the same. ^^;
The GP waterslide decals are exactly the same as those included with the previously released RG First, and there's quite a lot of them — applying them took about 5 to 6 times longer than actually building the kit.
Aside from the Gundam Project waterslide decals and the beam saber display parts, there aren't really any major changes, making this a fairly simple variation with somewhat limited collector's value... but if you're looking for 1/48-scale decals, this could be a pretty handy kit. :-)
