There are also a few areas that got revised from the first release that drew a lot of complaints.
First up, the articulated fingers — which had terrible retention and were a nightmare to assemble — have been redesigned.
As a result, the runner layout and shapes for all the hand-related parts have been completely rearranged as well.
The second revised area is where the plate that locks the hip joint in Battroid mode attaches to the back.
On the first release there was absolutely no locking mechanism here, so the hold was just plain flimsy —
but on the revised version, a locking pin has been added between the fixing plate and the back.
As you can see, a hole has been added on the fixing plate side and a peg on the back panel side,
improving the hold.
At the same time, a separate locking part, H29, has been newly added to better secure the body and back together in Battroid mode.
A separate locking part, H29, has been newly added.
This should improve the stability in Battroid mode to some degree,
but it looks like the hip joint area — which is the biggest problem — hasn't been changed at all. T_T
Roy Focker just wouldn't be Roy Focker without the skull markings..
Just like the previous kit, both seals and waterslide decals are included.
