Kit Review

The 9th kit in the One Piece Grand Ship Collection is the Dragon's Ship. As you can see, the overall color scheme is very dull, so rather than looking pretty, it gives off a small but mean vibe. The general product composition and quality are on par with previous kits.
This Dragon's Ship requires noticeably more seal work than other kits, and the problem is that applying dark-colored seals onto an already dark molded color makes the effort feel a bit underwhelming compared to the grind T_T Especially the seals on the sides of the ship and the dragon head/tail — there are a lot of them and they're tricky to apply, so it takes several times longer to do the seals than to actually build the kit, which makes the end result feel a little anticlimactic.
One thing worth noting — aside from the added locking pegs on the small base, it's fun to see that they've even added arrows to indicate the front/rear orientation. Compared to the early bases that had no locking mechanism and were confusing to orient, it feels like things are gradually evolving ^^
Anyway, it's a kit that should make a nice little treat for One Piece fans, and as a collection item, the look and size really feel like the perfect lineup :-)
