Released to commemorate the July 2016 theatrical premiere of One Piece Film Gold, the Grand Ship Collection Thousand Sunny - Film Gold Ver. has arrived. As you can see, it's essentially the existing Grand Ship Collection kit with a changed molded color, and the quality of the gold molded color is pretty impressive.

Fortunately(?), it didn't come with plated parts, so the price is ¥1800 — same as the 15th anniversary edition. Like the 15th anniversary edition, a clear character plate is also included. The gold molded color comes in several different tones, so the finished look ends up being less monotonous than you might expect — actually quite flashy in its own way. That said, it feels less like a kit you'd appreciate for its color scheme and more like a souvenir to keep the excitement of watching One Piece Film Gold alive.
