Kit Review
Straight build + Stickers
Straight build + Stickers
The One Piece Grand Ship Collection has released Enel's Ark, the Arc Maxim. The basic setup is similar to the previous releases, but since the design is relatively simple this time around, they've cut down on stickers and increased the color separation instead. Thanks to that, it's become a kit you can put together much more easily with minimal sticker and seal work.
As with the Grand Ship Collection series in general, the sense of depth and sculpting quality are excellent, and with quick, easy assembly you can build a pretty convincing Arc Maxim from the show. The series' signature wave pattern parts are included in white this time — and rather than the previous method of removing the bottom of the ship for display, you now attach support parts to the stand to float it in the air, then combine it with the wave effect parts.
With barely any sticker work involved, I was able to go from box opening to assembly to review photos in just 40 minutes flat. For the amount of time it takes, the quality of the finished product is honestly among the best I've seen — it's just a fun and easy kit to build. I do find myself wishing they'd done this much color separation from the start, but either way, if you're a One Piece fan, this is a great kit you'll definitely enjoy. :-)
