Kit Review
Straight build + Panel lining + Stickers
As you can see, it slides into a T-shaped bracket and locks in place,
so the connection to the hip joint is really solid.

The RE/100 lineup keeps you waiting for all kinds of unusual mecha, and the first release of 2016 is the Efreet Custom. The Efreet first appeared in the 1995 Super Famicom game "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cross Dimension 0079" as a Zeon mobile suit. In terms of its place in the setting, it sits somewhere between the Gouf and the Dom. This kit specifically represents the Efreet Custom from the 1996 game Blue Destiny. The armor on the forearms and legs differs from the original Efreet, and given the large number of system injection gates on the runners, there's a good chance an original version will be released down the line.
First off, even as a straight build it already shows off a really colorful and striking color combination, and the panel line detail is fairly dense too, so once you add panel lining it looks even better. Articulation is on the average side, so really dynamic poses are a bit tricky — the pipes on either side of the waist are especially limiting since they restrict the waist rotation angle, which is a bit of a shame. That said, the overall look is so good that poses using the two heat sabers still come out looking pretty cool. Joint strength feels just right — not too tight, not too loose.
The biggest appeal of the RE/100 line is how easy and quick it is to build, and the satisfying feel of snapping together those big, colorful parts is as great as ever. If anything, that enjoyable build experience feels even more refined compared to earlier entries in the line. Anyway, if you like the look of it, this is a clean kit I'd highly recommend — personally, it's my favorite RE/100 release so far. :-)
