This is the 1/12 Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper Ver. from the Star Wars series. Just like the previously released Han Solo Stormtrooper Ver., it recreates the outfit worn during the infiltration of the Death Star in Episode 4.

The basic setup is similar to Han Solo's — it's essentially a kit with a newly added head. However, the Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper Ver. also features new equipment on the back of the belt and a changed hip joint part. Since Luke is shorter than Han Solo, the hip joint was swapped out for a shorter version, which naturally brings his overall height down. Everything else carries over from the existing Stormtrooper gear, and the kit delivers solid articulation and joint strength.

Just like with Han Solo, the face printed in three-dimensional layers from three directions turned out quite convincing — though you can still clearly tell it's printed rather than painted. Either way, Bandai's new approach has produced some pretty interesting results, and Star Wars fans should be able to enjoy building a figure with excellent visuals without any painting required. :-)
