This kit is the 1/72 First Order TIE Fighter from Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. It basically feels like the original TIE Fighter from Episodes 4–6 repainted in black. Just looking at the design, it honestly doesn't feel all that different — just a different color. That said, if you compare them closely, it does feel about 20% smaller, and the darker color scheme definitely gives off a stronger Dark Side vibe.

The build process and kit composition are completely identical to the original TIE Fighter, and it still comes with laser effect parts as well as a clear canopy option. 

There aren't really any special gimmicks or extra options to speak of, so this is pretty much a kit where you just sit back and enjoy the photos. That said, it's a solid recommendation for anyone who enjoyed Episode 7. :-)
