This kit is the 1/72 Blue Squadron Resistance X-Wing Fighter released as a Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi version. The aircraft itself is 100% identical in composition to the previously released Episode 7 version Resistance X-Wing Fighter. The only change is that the astromech droid has been swapped out from BB-8 to R0-4L0 (for Episode 7) and BB-4 (for Episode 8).

On top of that, the seal layout on either side of the nose has been subtly changed, and the only other difference is the addition of a clear blue stand alongside the black one.

As you can see, it's a variation kit where it's hard to spot what's actually changed unless you look really closely — but there's still something to be said for having it set up as the Episode 8 version. If you haven't built the original Resistance X-Wing Fighter before, this seems like a great kit to build in celebration of the new film's release. :-)
