This kit is the 1/12 R5-J2, released as part of the Star Wars Droid series. Just like its predecessor the R2-Q5, it's essentially the previously released 1/12 R5-D4 with a molded color change. That said, thanks to the black gloss injection, the whole body just gleams with a gorgeous shine.

The newly included parts are accessories for R2-D2 — but ironically, there are no accessories at all for the main unit, R5-J2 itself. So there's really no particular scene to recreate, and the kit pretty much tops out at a rolling pose.

It's a pretty bare-bones kit with nothing much going for it beyond the shiny black gloss injection molding, but the straight build looks fantastic — so if you're a Star Wars fan, it seems like a fun little kit to enjoy casually. :-)
