The VF-31C Siegfried (Mirage Farina Jenius Use) from Macross Delta has been released as an HG kit. It's a color variant of the HG VF-31J Siegfried (Hayate Immelman Use)with the molded colors swapped out to Mirage's color scheme, and it also features a newly sculpted head and a figure of Makina Nakajima.

So all the structural characteristics and build quality are identical to the HG VF-31J — it still shows the same excellent part retention and stable swap-out transformation gimmick. Since the VF-31 series only differs in the head to begin with, there's not much new to check out here. For this review, just paying close attention to the changed color scheme and the new head should be plenty.

It's very much a classic Macross-style variation — feels pretty close to a straight-up color variant, honestly. That said, the newly sculpted head captures Mirage's unique look really well with great color separation, so if you're collecting the various Macross units, this is definitely a kit worth building multiple times. :-)
