Ryuohmaru was released as the 6th kit in the 2024 Mashin Sozoden Wataru plastic model series. The base frame and joint structure are the same as series No. 1, Ryujinmaru, with only the outer armor changed. Since Ryuohmaru is canonically an enhanced form of Ryujinmaru, the two share a very similar silhouette.
Because the same frame is being reused, it still delivers solid articulation and joint strength relative to its proportions. The Ryuohtou dragon head that was only on one of Ryujinmaru's shoulders is now larger and mounted on both shoulders, and can be detached and swapped onto the hands. The Seiryuken is included as a weapon — the short arms make it tricky to get a good angle, but you can still hold it with both hands. On top of that, there's a gimmick where the toe claw sections can bend downward.
All in all, this is a kit that takes the solid existing frame and dresses it up nicely in a fresh new design. The visual of looking bigger and more powerful than Ryujinmaru — fitting for an enhanced form — is really striking. If you're enjoying the Mashin Hero Wataru series, this is a perfectly enjoyable kit well worth picking up. :-)
