Kit Review

Following the Yamato 1/1000 Combined Cosmo Fleet Set 1, Set 2 has now been released. That said, looking at the contents, it's a pretty straightforward color variant kit — you get 2 color variants of the Murasame and 2 color variants of the Yukikaze from Set 1. Though perhaps to make up for the lack of any new parts, they did throw in the old-kit Cosmo Zero as a bonus.
As mentioned above, this is a pure color variant with absolutely no new parts, so there's not much new to look at — just enjoy the photos and see what color combinations they went with. And besides, other than the gun barrel, there's no articulation whatsoever in this kit anyway.
The bonus old-kit Cosmo Zero brought back some distant memories of building it ages ago, but having just finished the latest 1/72 Cosmo Zero not long before, the gap in time really hit hard with this one. ^^;
Anyway, with the bonus kit included you're getting a pretty generous total of 5 aircraft, but the lack of anything genuinely new makes it a tough sell for anyone who isn't a die-hard fan. That said, the kit itself is still a fun build in that classic Bandai sci-fi kit style. :-)
