This is the 1/1000 Dreadnought Mars Absolute Defense Line Set released as part of the Yamato series. It's a straightforward color variant kit that combines two molded color variations of the previously released 1/1000 Dreadnought into one package — you get two ships: a blue Earth Defense Line unit and a red Mars Absolute Defense Line unit.

Since not a single part has been changed, all the characteristics are identical to the original gray Dreadnought — it's still a high-quality warship kit with outstanding volume and detail. There is one change that came with the combined release, though: the two LED units that were included in the original 1/1000 Dreadnought kit have been dropped. On the bright side, that keeps the price down to ¥6000 — only ¥1500 more than the original ¥4500 kit — and you get two Dreadnoughts out of it.

Since this is a straightforward color variant, all you really need to enjoy in this review is the new color schemes. That said, the quality is so good that even as a color variant kit, it's hard not to recommend it as a warship kit. :-)
