As you can see, the whole point of this set is bringing together the very first Gunpla released for each TV anime series in one place — and they're molded not in ordinary clear plastic, but in something closer to a pearl clear with silver flakes mixed in. A picture's worth a thousand words, so just check out the photos above and you'll get a good sense of what kind of clear we're talking about.. The silver flakes are spread pretty evenly throughout, so the overall look is quite lovely. Also, clear plastic is usually extremely hard and a real pain to clean up gates on.. but this material is comparatively softer, so it honestly doesn't feel all that different from working with regular plastic.

Clear kits can be a bit hard to appreciate in photos, but in person this is a seriously luxurious, jewelry-like clear kit. It definitely feels premium enough to serve as a proper 30th anniversary commemorative item. ^^
