Gundam G-Lucifer — a uniquely distinctive unit from Gundam Reconguista in G that carries three massive panel weapons — has been released as an HG kit. As you can see, it sports three huge skirts that bring to mind the Qubeley's oversized panel rear end. The skirts can be detached and combined with various beam parts for display, and a 1/144 universal stand plus three panel-dedicated stands are included to make that possible.
The base body itself goes together pretty smoothly, with decent color separation and the new-style polycaps. The new polycaps are nice, but depending on the kit, the shoulder joints can have a tendency to pop out. Gundam G-Lucifer is no exception — if you push it into anything even slightly dynamic during posing, the shoulders just pop right off, which is a bit of a bummer. -_-
The real selling point of this kit is ultimately the massive skirt panel display. Load up all those beam parts and spread them out, and it really does make for an impressive visual. The flashy look is unlike anything you'd see in most other kits, and honestly that alone is enough to make it worth recommending. ^^
Other weapons include two beam sabers and two sets of open/fist hands, but with so many skirt panels and their associated accessories, everything else feels almost like an afterthought. Still, it's a kit with a genuinely unique and appealing panel display, and it's definitely worth building even if you're not familiar with Gundam Reconguista in G. :-)
