Kit Review
Straight build
+ panel lining
Since they were released separately, both kits came out sturdier than the MG.
However, the rifle is exclusive to the Destroy Mode, and the bazooka is exclusive to the Unicorn Mode.

This kit is the Unicorn Gundam [Unicorn Mode], released alongside the Destroy Mode. Since both kits were designed at the same time, they manage to share a surprisingly large number of parts despite looking quite different from each other.
The overall quality is on par with the Destroy Mode — decent articulation, solid joint strength, and excellent color separation. By nature of the design, it inevitably looks a bit plain compared to the Destroy Mode, so I tried going with heavy double panel lining to add some visual interest... but honestly, it didn't really work out T_T Since the whole suit is basically white all over, thick, dark panel lines end up looking pretty jarring. I think subtle, barely-there panel lining would suit this one much better.
The Unicorn Mode includes some things not found in the Destroy Mode — the rifle is gone, but a bazooka is added in its place, along with a pair of open hands and beam parts for the beam sabers. In short, it's basically telling you to buy both kits if you want a complete weapons loadout. But given that a lot of people do end up buying both as a set, it could actually be a pretty smart way to split up the weapons.
It's a bit simpler-looking compared to the Destroy Mode, but that simplicity has its own charm — solid quality and a satisfying build experience make this a great kit in its own right. Ideally, you'd want to display it alongside the Destroy Mode, right? :-)
