Following the HGUC Zaku II F2 Zeon type with its clean, quality build, the E.F.S.F. type naturally got a release as well. However, the runners and parts layout are completely unchanged — it's purely a molded color swap. With the MG F2, there were at least some minor differences between the Zeon and E.F.S.F. types in the backpack and accessories, so this feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. It would've been nice to have at least a little something to set them apart.
Just like the Zeon type, the proportions are outstanding as you'd expect from a modern kit, and despite the average articulation, it pulls off some seriously impressive action poses. The joint strength is nice and tight throughout, and overall this kit is a total winner in terms of feel and style.
Sure, it's a simple color variant kit, but it's fun enough to build multiple times that it's easy to recommend to both beginners and veterans alike — this one belongs in the best of the HGUC family. :-)
