Nobell Gundam

Kit Review

Straight build

Nobell Gundam, one of the most iconic feminine-type Gundams, has made its way into the HG lineup. This feminine Gundam from Mobile Fighter G Gundam has a more than charming design, yet it seems to have taken quite a while to get a modern-quality release.

First off, as you'd expect from a modern kit, the color separation and build feel are very clean, and it comes out looking sharp with narrow shoulders and a slender, feminine silhouette. The articulation itself isn't anything spectacular, but even with minimal posing effort, that signature feminine look comes through nicely — and since it's a small, lightweight kit, joint strength isn't an issue either. In a word, the overall impression of this kit is "pretty" ^^

The beam ribbons in particular are made from a special material and not only are they great quality, but you get a whopping 5 of them — so you can naturally recreate all kinds of different poses. On top of that, a milky clear 1/144 general-purpose stand is included, which lets you put together a really eye-catching display alongside the beam ribbons. You don't even have to try that hard — just put them in her hands and they'll naturally fall into a gorgeous beam ribbon action pose all on their own.

Even if you're not particularly into Mobile Fighter G Gundam.. this is a kit that's charming enough just for its unique look alone. With its clean and solid build quality, satisfying feel in hand, and a great variety of effective accessories, this is a fun kit I'd highly recommend to any Gunpla fan. For those who've been waiting for a Nobell Gundam, this is absolutely a masterpiece that lives up to the hype! :-)
