The HGUC Jesta Cannon has been released as a heavily armed version of the Jesta from Unicorn. The base is identical to the standard Jesta, but with added armor on the shoulders, torso, and legs, along with multiple hand grenades and cannons on top of the shoulders. The beam rifle has also been upgraded to a chunkier version with an energy pack and grenade launcher added on.

The weapons added on top of the shoulders are a long beam cannon and a short quad multi-launcher, both of which can move freely within a 90-degree range up and down. The hand grenades added to the side skirts and legs don't have a separate detach function, but the color separation is done well enough that they look the part. And since all of the standard Jesta's weapons are included too, the overall content feels pretty generous. ^^

Aside from the handful of special weapons added, this isn't really a kit with a ton of new ground to cover — but the base design itself looks great and the build quality is solid, so it comes across as an HGUC kit that pretty much anyone can enjoy. That said, with the standard Jesta's weapons thrown in as well, the ¥2000 price tag does feel a little steep.

Either way, the Jesta is basically the Unicorn-era GM, and compared to the old GM Cannon, the Jesta Cannon is a seriously sleek upgrade. If you're a fan of the refined, high-quality HGUC kits in the Unicorn/Jesta style, this is definitely a fun one to build. :-)
