Following the Base Jabber Unicorn version, the Type89 Base Jabber has now been released as an HGUC kit. As you can see, compared to the original Base Jabber it has a slimmer, more elongated shape, and the addition of a three-dimensional truss structure gives it a more refined, sleek design.

Since it's not a robot-type kit, the building experience is definitely something fresh and different, and with a relatively small parts count it goes together easily — so it's a kit that feels genuinely refreshing to build. The detail and three-dimensionality are impressive for the low parts count, so even a straight build is satisfying, but throw in some panel lining and it really steps up into something even more polished. ^^

Given the nature of the craft, the only articulation gimmick is the foot rest, but you can remove the tank on the underside and attach extra handles so that an MS can ride on either the top or bottom. Also, since just placing an HGUC kit on top doesn't hold it very securely, separate MS mounting parts are included for both the top and bottom, letting you lock the MS on nice and firmly.
