Straight build

Following Gundam X and the Divider, Gundam Double X has now joined the HGAW lineup. The kit quality is on par with the previous Gundam X kits — it's a solid A-grade HG kit with clean buildability, great color separation, solid functionality, excellent articulation, and strong joint strength.

In particular, the three-stage reflector, the Satellite Cannon's articulation, and the multi-stage opening gimmick for the energy radiator blades on all four limbs are all well reproduced. Thanks to that, even at HG scale it pulls off an impressively flashy firing pose worthy of an MG.

Overall, this kit is so cleanly and well put together that there's really nothing to nitpick about. Aside from the fact that the Gundam X series itself isn't the most popular franchise, this is an A-grade HG kit that I'd recommend to just about anyone. :-)
