Kit Review
Straight build
+ panel lining
There are 4 hand types in total. Among them, the rifle-fixed hand even has a locking peg, so the rifle attaches very securely.
Given the rifle's design — small grip with a large rear end — the MG had a really hard time holding it due to weak grip strength,
but the HGUC solves that perfectly.
The Re-GZ's iconic BWS (Back Weapon System).
It's built as a scaled-down copy, very closely resembling the MG version.
Articulation is pretty good. Thanks to the transformation structure in particular, the knee joints can fold into some surprisingly unusual positions.
The forearm grenade launcher ejection is reproduced.
Push the back of the forearm forward and the grenade automatically pushes open the closed hatch as it comes out.
Combining with the BWS
- Space Fighter mode
Fold the knees and ankles, then push the ankles up into the legs — this causes the verniers at the back to pop out.
That's it for the body transformation needed to combine with the BWS.
Calling it a "transformation" feels a bit generous — it's more like just shifting the pose a little.
(Though that pose is... kinda... pitiful looking... T_T)
Comparison with the MG Re-GZ. The color scheme and design concept are nearly identical,
but the more recently released HGUC has proportions that feel a bit more refined.
