Since the HGUC Nu Gundam was already a high-quality kit to begin with, adding the coating on top makes the joints a bit sturdier and the overall look even nicer, bumping up the quality even further. And since the base color is silver, gate marks tend to be a little less noticeable too.

Sure, coating versions are typically twice the price of the standard release, but it's hard not to feel like the price has gone up a bit too much relative to what you're actually getting.
