Alongside the Nu Gundam - Metallic Coating Version, the Sazabi has also been released as a Metallic Coating Version. As expected, the red Sazabi coating has a far more striking presence than the silver Nu Gundam coating. The overall coating quality itself isn't particularly outstanding compared to other plated kits, but the metallic red color is just so intense that the "feel" of it as a plated kit is simply top-notch. In short, the color alone does all the work.

It's the same situation as with the MG Nu Gundam/Sazabi coating kits — despite similar coating quality, the Sazabi coating somehow comes out a clear step above. And in the case of this HGUC Sazabi coating kit, the smaller surface area allowed for more even coating compared to the large MG, and the overall proportions of the kit itself feel better than the MG too, so it ends up looking like a higher quality product than the MG Sazabi - Metallic Coating Version.
