This kit is the HGUC Geara Doga [Full Frontal Use], released as a Bandai Online Shop - Club G exclusive. It takes the existing HGUC Geara Doga and changes the molded color to a Char-style scheme, with one weapons runner from the Geara Zulu and one brand-new exclusive runner added to the lineup.
First off, the two-tone pink Char-style molded colors came out looking quite nice, and the straight build holds up well as a Char/Full Frontal use machine from Unicorn. On top of that, newly added wrist parts engraved with Unicorn-style markings give it a nice little accent — just like other Unicorn series kits, the markings are recreated with seals.
Also included are the Geara Zulu's rifle and Sturm Faust, and as a bonus for the limited edition, a rifle scope has been added. That said, since this scope is a newly added accessory that wasn't even on the original Geara Zulu, you'll need to glue it into place somewhere appropriate. ^^;
The base kit, the HGUC Geara Doga, isn't exactly a showstopper in terms of quality, but it's a solid, no-nonsense kit that delivers a reassuringly stable build. The articulation is nothing spectacular but gets the job done, and the sturdy joint strength means poses hold together nicely. One thing to watch out for, though — the new wrist parts added for this limited edition have a somewhat weak connection, so the wrist tends to come apart along with the hand parts whenever you swap them out.
All in all, this is a solid limited edition that's noteworthy simply for the fact that a Char's-sausage-pink Geara Doga finally exists — and since it goes beyond a simple color variant by including original parts, it feels like a genuinely thoughtful release. Either way, if you're a fan of Char or Full Frontal, this is definitely one you won't want to miss. :-)
