Gloss injection refers to a molding process where the surface is smoothed out to give it a slight sheen.
In person, it's not super glossy, but there's a bit of a shine to the surface.
The molded colors have also been slightly changed overall.

Hmm.. still not super smooth, but there is some reflected light.

The yellow parts do sparkle a bit though.

The red parts have basically no shine at all..?? -_-a;

The white parts are decent enough — reasonably smooth.

True to its HGUC limited edition status, the assembly manual is a washed-out black-and-white job..
