Kit Review
Straight build + Seals
The elbow and ankle joint structure is done in a Kyoukai Senki style.
It's a design that'll be hit or miss for some people, but the functionality is solid.

The Gelgoog Sugai's unit has been released as the third HG kit from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury." At first glance, anyone would say it looks just like a GM — and sure enough, its in-universe role is essentially that of a mass-produced Gundam, filling the GM's position. It ended up in a situation where it replaced the Gelgoog's role in the story, keeping only the Gelgoog name.
First off, it's on the shorter side but has a stocky, solid-looking proportion. It's got a very typical GM-style coloring and design, so within the Witch from Mercury universe it actually comes across as one of the more familiar-looking suits. And unlike the previous kits in the line which had stiff articulation, this one has nicely tuned joints that make posing much more comfortable. The hip and shoulder joints are flexible enough that you can easily pull off all kinds of dynamic poses.
For weapons, you get two beam spray guns, a beam saber, and a wire anchor. Using a joint part, you can combine the beam saber and beam spray guns together and mount them on the rear skirt. You can also plug two beam parts in front and back to form a beam naginata — which is honestly the one part where you can still see traces of the Gelgoog. Also worth noting, the elbows and ankles use Kyoukai Senki-style joints, which work great functionally but are the kind of joint design that might stir up some debate.
One thing that's a bit disappointing — the connections on both sides of the backpack are weak, so it tends to fall off easily during posing. The ball joints are nice for flexible movement, but structurally they're just prone to popping out.
All in all, with its familiar looks and smooth articulation, this kit seems like it'll be a fan favorite among the Witch from Mercury lineup. Aside from the backpack popping off issue, the overall build quality is the best of the bunch — so if the style appeals to you, this is easily the top recommendation among the Witch from Mercury kits. :-)
