The Guncannon First Type has been released as the 11th Origin HG kit. Compared to the Guntank First Type, which went through a pretty radical transformation, this one keeps a silhouette fairly close to the original Guncannon. It's got the cannon mounted on only one side, similar to the MSV Guncannon II.

First off, the detailing has been ramped up in Origin style, and a generous amount of seals are applied, making the finished look quite striking. Combined with the pastel molded colors, it comes across as sleek and modern. And yet it doesn't feel all that different from the classic Guncannon, so there's a familiar feel to it too — it really seems like a spinoff design that both old-school and new-school fans can appreciate.

The low-recoil cannon on the shoulder can be swapped out for a missile launcher, and the unique claw-style hands come with a separate rifle-gripping hand as well. A black 1/144 universal stand is also included. The articulation is top-notch too — the arms and legs fold up nicely, and the joints are smooth yet hold their position well, making it a lot of fun to pose. ^^

With its sleek proportions and excellent articulation, this kit comes out clean with nothing to complain about — it's a great HG kit that I'd highly recommend to all Gunpla fans. :-)
