Following the Early Type, the Mobility Test Type / Firepower Test Type has been released as part of the Origin HG lineup. It's essentially a color variant of the Early Type kit, with the addition of two different head and armament configurations.

This kit can be switched between the Mobility Test Type and Firepower Test Type by swapping out the shoulder armaments, head, and right arm parts. The Mobility Test Type features a horned head along with Gatling guns on both shoulders. The Firepower Test Type gets a new head, a 4-barrel cannon right arm, and large-caliber cannons in place of the shoulder armaments.

The large-caliber cannon newly added for the Firepower Test Type has movable cylinders on both the top and bottom, and the way they alternately extend and retract as you adjust the elevation angle is nicely reproduced. The Mobility Test Type gets one extra chunky machine gun, and unlike the existing machine gun, it doesn't require a wrist lock part.

Since the base kit is already excellent, this one is likewise an A-grade kit with great articulation and joint strength — just think of it as a Guncannon with a slightly different style. Personally, I find the Firepower Test Type with its big large-caliber cannon more appealing than the Mobility Test Type. And despite having a few more parts than the Early Type, the price stays the same at ¥1800.

All in all, this is a kit with no complaints on the quality front — if the styling appeals to you, it's a great build that you'll have a lot of fun with. :-)
