The 17th kit in the HG Origin series is the RX-78-01[N] Gundam Local Type [North American] — based on the previously released HG Gundam Local Type, with a changed molded color on the main body plus a new backpack and shoulder cannon added. As a bonus, joint parts for mounting the MS machine gun and shield onto the backpack are thrown in as well.

That deep olive drab color and the shoulder cannon give it a strong Full Armor Gundam vibe, and the dramatically changed color scheme makes it feel almost like a completely new unit. The added shoulder cannon can be posed via a two-stage joint, and the verniers on the new backpack can be freely positioned on ball joints — though they spin around a little *too* freely, making it tricky to lock them into a specific angle.
Everything else in terms of basic structure is identical to the existing HG Gundam Local Type, with the same excellent articulation and solid joint strength. 

Since it's essentially just a backpack swap, it doesn't feel all that new — but the Full Armor-style weapons and armor color scheme give it a personality of its own. The base quality is great, and the finished look in person is seriously impressive, so this is one I'd highly recommend to all Gunpla fans. :-)
