Following the previously released HGUC Operation V 3-kit set, we now have the Zeta Gundam Gryphios War 3-kit set. It's basically the same concept as the Operation V set — a combined kit of the HGUC Zeta, Mk-II, and Hyaku-Shiki with only the molded colors changed.

There are two bonus options included: just like the Operation V set, a separate sticker sheet has been added, and on top of that, a soft-plastic beam saber exclusive to the Mk-II is included. The Mk-II kit itself originally only comes with a beam saber molded together with the hand, so this adds a pink soft-plastic beam saber part that can attach to the beam saber handle that was stored in the backpack.

The biggest change is of course the molded colors — the Zeta comes out deeper and more vivid compared to the original, the Mk-II goes with a gray tone, and the Hyaku-Shiki gets a matte finish in a bright yellow with an Extra Finish feel. These color changes feel much more dramatic compared to the Operation V set. Both the Zeta and Mk-II have noticeably different molded colors, and the Hyaku-Shiki in particular comes with a completely different coating concept. Because of that, it almost feels like a different kit rather than just a color variant.

This is a bit of a double-edged sword — it really comes down to whether you prefer the original coloring or this heavier, more subdued color scheme. With the Operation V set, the molded colors felt like a slight overall improvement with a cleaner, fresher look, so objectively it was easy to recommend over buying three separate normal versions. But this Gryphios set ends up feeling like quite a different kit, so I'd say just go with your personal taste. Of course, building both the normal versions and the Gryphios set is also worth considering :-)
