This kit isn't exactly a plated version — it's more of a case where special molding material was used.
Most of the exterior body parts are molded in a special high-grade plastic with a pearlescent finish.

The purple parts on the body are also molded in that same special pearlescent material.

Even the dark gray parts are pearl-molded.
Look closely and you can definitely catch that pearlescent shimmer.

The blue parts have a slight pearl to them too..

The pink parts are just done with a straight pink chrome coating, similar to the Extra Finish version.
