This kit is Ermeda, released as part of Kotobukiya's Arcanadia series. True to Kotobukiya's signature girl-pla lineup, it delivers the same premium parts quality and sculpting we've come to expect. The concept is an archer character decked out with four large, elaborate wings and a cape skirt.
Just like its predecessors, it shows off top-tier color separation and detail for a really solid look. The build feel is smooth, the molded colors are excellent, and overall satisfaction as a plastic model is pretty high. On top of that, it boasts great articulation along with joint strength that's perfectly tuned — firm enough to hold poses yet smooth to move. Posing is easy and the stability is outstanding, so in every way the quality you feel in your hands just makes you go "yep, this is the Arcanadia series alright!"
The concept of switching between Normal Mode and Wyrise Mode is the same as previous entries in the series. It's not mentioned in the manual, but you can also remove the wings and cape skirt separately to display the base body form. As for accessories, you get an elaborately designed bow and arrow, which let you pull off some convincing archery poses. Using the included stand makes for stable posing as well.
All in all, this is a top-notch girl-pla kit that delivers the best in quality and visuals. It's clearly a step above standard Kotobukiya girlplas like Frame Arms Girl or Megami Device in terms of material feel, sculpting, molded colors, and more. Either way, if the style is your thing, this seems like a kit you can pick up without any regrets. :-)
