Border Break entry #5 is the blue Zebra 41. I half-expected the Border Break series to just keep rolling out color variants of similar designs, but they've actually kept releasing brand-new kits each time, which is honestly kind of impressive. ^^; The overall design concept is similar to the previous entries, but it's a completely new design from head to toe.

The S-shaped legs and unique head design make this a fun kit, and as the most polished entry in Kotobukiya's Border Break lineup, the base quality is pretty solid too. Excellent articulation, decent joint strength, and the color separation you'd expect from a Koto kit all add up to a straight build that's quite satisfying on its own.

Zebra 41 comes with a variety of weapons, and thanks to its great articulation, it holds just about any pose you throw at it with no trouble. There are still a few spots that look like they could use a dab of glue, but overall the snap-fit quality is pretty good.

Anyway, even if you've been avoiding Koto kits because they feel out of place next to your Bandai stuff, this one is good enough quality to win you over. Just like the other Border Break kits, if you like the design, you can dive in and enjoy the build without worrying about quality. ^^
