The Duke & Fire Parts from Brave Police J-Decker (known in Korea as K-Cops) has been released as a Kotobukiya plastic model kit. As the name suggests, it's a combined set that includes both Duke and the parts needed to build Fire J-Decker. The idea is that you swap out certain parts from the previously released J-Decker to achieve the new configuration.

Duke's basic frame reuses runners from Deckerd, so the articulation characteristics and hip/elbow gimmicks are all the same. It's compact but delivers excellent articulation and joint strength, and thanks to a smooth material feel on par with Bandai, it's a very comfortable build. The standard hands and accessories from Deckerd are included as-is, with several new hand options and a double-edged sword added on top.

Duke's overall build quality is good, but the color separation leaves a little to be desired. The part breakdown is generally well done, but the cross markings on the shoulders — which should be red and black — are just plain white with nothing there, and it's hard to shake that flat, unfinished look. Kotobukiya doesn't usually go heavy on stickers, but it would've been nice if they'd put their runner-painting skills to use here.

Fire J-Decker is built by swapping out the head, chest, front skirt, and feet from the existing J-Decker and adding the new weapons. At that point, the side leg armor also needs to be moved down one peg. Two versions of the Fire Sword are included as Fire J-Decker's armament, and the additional parts seem to fit together with J-Decker without any major issues.

So you get Duke and the Fire J-Decker parts at a solid level of quality — but any J-Decker fan is probably going to be wondering, "Wait, where's Duke Fire????" J-Decker, which is Deckerd's combined form, has already been released, and Duke's combined form is Duke Fire. Fire J-Decker is the result of one more super-combination on top of Duke Fire, so it's a bit awkward that the middle step has been quietly skipped over.
