This kit is the 1/3000 Free Planets Alliance 13th Fleet Flagship Hyperion from Kotobukiya's Legend of the Galactic Heroes series. Previously released 1/3000
Hyperionshares the same name, but this kit is the 13th Fleet version. Unlike the chunkier original Hyperion, this one has an overall thin and elongated form.

Like its predecessors, this is a statue-style spaceship model with no moving parts whatsoever. There aren't any gimmicks worth checking out separately, so for this review you really just need to take a good look at the overall shape and details. The assembly process itself is a snap-fit kit with solid fit, so the difficulty level is pretty straightforward. That said, there are a lot of thin, elongated parts running top to bottom, so you'll want to be careful not to break anything during assembly.

So it's a spaceship kit with decent enough detail, but the contents only fill about half of the large box, making this one of the most over-packaged kits I've ever seen. Probably felt like the box had to be big to justify the ¥8,800 price tag, but the value for money isn't great. Anyway, if you're a Legend of the Galactic Heroes fan, you'll just be glad it exists at all — and since this kind of warship model kit is pretty rare, if it's your thing, that's more than enough reason to go for it. :-)
