A fairly dynamic pose.
For poses like this the center of gravity is off, so you'll need a Kotobukiya-specific stand.

Iron Kong has joined the D-Style Zoids lineup. I always thought a gorilla mech would look even cuter in SD style, and sure enough, it's been released in an absolutely adorable little form ^^
The overall proportions have been exaggerated and condensed in true SD fashion, and thanks to the head being as big as the body, it really gives off that baby gorilla vibe. Unlike other Zoids/mechs, this one has naturally long arms by design, so the articulation on the arms is relatively wide, letting you pull off quite a few more poses than you'd expect. Other D-Style kits tend to have very stubby limbs that make dynamic poses tricky, but with Iron Kong, those long arms alone are enough to get a nice variety of distinctive poses ^^
As for extra features, opening the cockpit hatch reveals two adorable pilots in all their glory, and there's also a missile pod opening gimmick on the left shoulder plus a movable jaw. Beyond that, true to the D-Style tier, the kit keeps things nice and simple with no extra parts or leftover parts to speak of.
All in all, even among SD-style kits where cuteness is everything, this one stands out with top-notch design quality — it's easily one of the best kits in the entire D-Style lineup and a definite must-buy. :-)
