On top of that, even though it's an SD-style kit with a 3-head-tall concept, the proportions are actually quite good, making for a very satisfying finished build.

The highlight of the D-Style Votoms is all the gimmick reproduction, and it holds its own against Bandai's 1/20 Votoms kit — pretty much every design feature is faithfully recreated. The head section features lens rotation/lateral movement and cover opening, plus full cockpit opening. The forearm extends, and even the tiny Tankpick fixing pin on the foot is articulated. Most impressively, the two-stage extending legs combined with various supporting gimmicks mean the Down Form is reproduced almost perfectly (!!!) — which is genuinely moving. It can be a little tricky to get the angles just right, but the sheer amount of gimmicks packed into this palm-sized kit is nothing short of amazing.

The cockpit figure is also a cute little thing — the pilot Chirico's head can be assembled either bare-faced or with a helmet on, your choice.
