The price went up ¥1000 for the plated version, but looking at the actual coating, it feels a bit thin. It's got that Bandai Extra Finish kind of vibe, but it's not a thick, deep coat by any means — more like a light dusting of gold pearl sprayed over the plastic. That said, it definitely has more of a sheen than just plain yellow-brown molded plastic.

On top of that, Genesic's signature flaming head color has been changed to yellow, which really does give it a more visually complete look overall.
