Rotate the fixing pin in the center of the backpack upward,

then rotate the shoulder armor forward about 90 degrees.

Tilt the head and backpack backward, then close the mouth a bit more,

then rotate the entire shoulder assembly 90 degrees backward.

Tilt the backpack further back and extend it all the way out.

Insert the hands into the backpack's fixing pins to lock it in place securely.

Press both shoulder armor pieces together to complete the lion's mane.
You'll want to make sure the arms are positioned properly beforehand so the shoulder armor pieces mesh together correctly.

Plug in the weapon like a tail and the transformation is complete.
