Second Jive is a Frame Arms original design kit released as a variation of Wilber Nine. As you can see, most of the base body's structure is shared with Wilber Nine with only the molded colors being different, and on top of that, some new weapons and side skirts have been added.
Since over 80% of the parts are shared with Wilber Nine, the articulation characteristics and transformation gimmick are completely identical. That said, the new combination of white and purple molded colors does give the kit a noticeably fresher feel. In particular, the blade-shaped hands have been replaced with regular hands, and a whole range of new weapons comes included — the Multi Cannon that can be used as both a rifle and a blade, plus the Blade Gun and Machete repurposed from Wilber Nine's blade hands.
Like Wilber Nine, the articulation itself is excellent, but with so much stuff hanging off it, getting poses to work isn't always easy. On the flip side, the design is stylish enough that you can still pull off some pretty dynamic poses, and above all, the Stinger Mode bike transformation looks really cool. This time around, the Multi Cannon swings up to the top during the transformation, giving the bike an even more aggressive look.
True to its lineup's pursuit of original mecha designs, there's no source material to speak of — and that's actually part of the charm, since it's all built on pure imagination. It's also a rare kit that transforms into a bike, and surprisingly(?) the stability after transformation isn't bad at all, which is a relief. (Though of course, the key parts need to be glued rather than just snap-fit if you want them to hold up..) Either way, if you're looking to build a unique transforming mecha, this is one I'd recommend alongside Wilber Nine. :-)
