Kit Review

The 12th Frame Arms Girl release is Hresverlgr=Ater. Just like the original Frame Arms line, it's a kit based on the existing Hresvelgr with a new head and different weapons. On top of that, the molded colors have changed so dramatically that at first glance it looks like a completely different design — but look closely and the main body is identical to the Hresvelgr.
Beyond the molded colors, the clear parts that are so characteristic of the Hresvelgr have been given a coating treatment, which makes the overall color feel much more premium. It's what you'd call a rainbow coating — depending on the angle, it catches the light and shimmers with brilliant rainbow reflections.
The large Beryl Smashers that are so iconic to the Hresvelgr give the kit even more visual bulk and presence. A support fixture has been added to the back of the forearm to reinforce the grip when holding the Beryl Smasher, so it holds on quite securely. The main body also has solid joint strength just like the original Hresvelgr, which is great — for a kit loaded with this many accessories hanging off it, the stability is impressive.
That said, the even larger accessories do make posing that much trickier, which is a bit of a downside. But the overall look is so spectacular that it displays beautifully even without any dramatic pose. Like the Hresvelgr, you can also configure it into Side Winder form or air bike form — both look awesome, though the transformation is still just as fiddly as ever.
So the already-stunning Hresvelgr has been taken up another notch here, and with so many rainbow-coated clear parts, the straight build satisfaction is through the roof. If you're into flashy girlplas, this one comes highly recommended — and it's yet another reminder that when it comes to girlplas, Kotobukiya is still a cut above Bandai in just about every way. A total visual powerhouse of a kit. :-)
