Following the Frame Arms Baihu, the Frame Arms Girl Baihu has now been released. It faithfully carries over the original design concept of Baihu while blending it nicely into the girlpla format. The overall package is similar to previous entries in the line.
You can swap the head and remove some of the armor and weapons to recreate the base body look, and there are 3 face options to choose from. Two of those faces are nearly identical, which means you can build both the armored head and the base body head at the same time. Since there's only one head so you'll never use both simultaneously, but at least it saves you the trouble of swapping the face part back and forth.
The weapon loadout is configured almost identically to the original Baihu, so you can combine cannons, swords, and various other accessories onto the backpack. Articulation and joint strength are fairly solid, much like previous kits in the line — but there are some issues with parts staying in place. The twin-tail hair parts pop off way too easily during posing, and the waist keeps coming apart too, making it a real pain to hold poses. The mask part on the front of the armored head also falls off constantly, so I ended up gluing it in place. Overall, the parts retention is a bit disappointing in several areas.
That said, aside from the parts retention issues on a few pieces, the overall quality is decent enough. The armor feels a bit too bulky, which takes away some of the cuteness you'd expect from a girlpla, but the unique style that sets it apart from other kits is definitely its strong point. :-)
