Kotobukiya Frame Arms Girl

Gourai by Jun Watanabe

Kit Review

Straight build

Gourai by Jun Watanabe has been released as yet another color variant of the Frame Arms Girl Gourai. It's a kit done up in the color scheme of Jun Watanabe, a well-known Japanese creative director — literally a color variant kit.

The only newly added part is a single open-mouth face part, and to achieve the new color combination, 3 runners are included in duplicate across 2 colors. For detailed structural features, check out the Frame Arms Girl Gourai review— for this review, just referencing the changed color combination should be enough.

Also, the early Gourai had somewhat weak joint strength, but whether there was a mold revision at some point, this kit's joint strength has improved quite a bit. That said, poses where the bazooka is rested on the shoulder are still not easy to pull off due to wrist stability issues.

Anyway, with the improved joint strength, if you like the brighter, more vibrant color scheme, this seems like a kit worth recommending without hesitation. :-)
