Kotobukiya Frame Arms Girl

Yinghu

Kit Review

Straight build

This kit is Yinghu, released as part of the Frame Arms Girl series. Just like how the white Baselard and black Yinghu appeared in Frame Arms, Yinghu follows Baselard in the Frame Arms Girl lineup as well. As expected, it's based on the existing Baselard with a new molded color, and comes with Yinghu's unique armor and weapons added in — launching at ¥5,800, a ¥300 increase over Baselard.

Aside from the additional parts, the main body, weapons, and accessories are identical to Baselard, so it delivers the same solid articulation and joint strength. The annoyances carry over too — the chin part in armed mode and the ponytail hair tend to pop off easily. The new parts include side armor added to the shoulders, arms, and legs, plus a Prototype Cannon mounted on the backpack. It faithfully recreates the Frame Arms Yinghu's design specs, and just like in Frame Arms, you can choose between two shoulder side armor options.

There's nothing drastically new here — it's essentially the Frame Arms Yinghu concept translated directly into a Frame Arms Girl kit. Overall the quality is solid enough, and if you like the style, it's a pretty enjoyable girlpla with not much to complain about. :-)
