Kotobukiya Frame Arms Girl Hand Scale

Innocentia

Kit Review

Straight build

Innocentia has been released as the 3rd entry in the Frame Arms Girl Hand Scale line. It's an adorably tiny kit sized around the Hexa Gear Governor, so the parts are extremely small — yet it still delivers an impressive level of color separation and overall style.

Like its predecessors, it also includes the option to apply eye decals using waterslide decals on two blank faces, and you can swap between two faces with subtly different eye directions. That said, the kit is so small and the difference so minimal that it's honestly hard to notice the change after swapping. Joint strength is still pretty stiff for the size, which makes posing a bit of a chore, and the balance of stiffness varies from joint to joint, so you really have to be careful about how much force you apply..

The most notable feature is the unique waist joint that allows it to bend forward nearly 90 degrees — which makes it possible to pose it plopped down flat on the ground. That said, bending it too far can cause the waist to pop out, so it takes a bit of practice to find the right angle. Also, the back parts can be fitted with a piece that has a standard stand hole, making it possible to store it inside the Gigantic Arms Omega Reactor released the previous month. (See review photos)

All in all, this is a kit that's a step up in functionality from its predecessors — and if you can get past the value-for-money pressure at ¥2500 for something this small, it seems like a pretty fun little girlpla to build. :-)
