The third kit in the Phantasy Star Online series is Racaseal Whitill Ver.APSY. The base body is almost identical to Elenoa's, though it uses Sino's feet, features a new face, and adds a sensor backpack. On top of that, new weapons like the Soul Eater and handgun are included.

Since 90% of the base body is the same as before, it delivers the same excellent articulation and decent joint strength, making it fairly easy to pull off a wide variety of action poses. The newly added Soul Eater — a massive scythe-type weapon — lets you strike all kinds of dynamic poses, and the cute little handgun is painted red, so it really pops with color. ^^ The Shot and Saviour/Short Saviour that were included with the Elenoa kit are also provided here.

One thing that sets Whitill apart from the previous releases is that while 10 assembled hand parts are included, a separate set of resin-style soft hands is also provided. Since they come molded all in one piece, no assembly is needed, and the soft material gives them a nice grip on the weapons. However, the massive Soul Eater has a complex front and back, so there's no way to fit these resin-type hands onto it — you'll need to use the plastic assembled hands instead.

On top of that, a large number of the body runners are provided in duplicate across skin-tone, pink, and black, leaving you with a huge pile of leftover parts. The parts needed for the official color scheme are pretty well defined, so you do have to wonder if there's really any need to include this many color combinations... That said, it's not necessarily a bad thing since it does let you mix and match colors however you like. ^^;

As a kit in the unique genre of buildable girlplas, the volume is a little on the small side for the price, but it's a fun kit in its own right. If you're a fan of the Phantasy Star Online series, you'll definitely get a kick out of it. :-)
