Order Cradle

Kit Review

Straight build

The Order Cradle has been released as part of the Gigantic Arms series, which puts out all sorts of unique kits to support Frame Arms Girls. It's a cockpit-concept kit designed for piloting something, and with all the covers closed it takes on the shape of a giant animal's face. The covers on all four sides can each be opened individually, and the side operation blocks can be unfolded to function as control sticks.

The operation block pads have a keyboard molded on one side and piano keys on the other, so you can choose depending on the mode. The cockpit section does a great job of securing a Frame Arms Girl thanks to the multi-jointed backrest and flexible arm and leg supports. That said, it's a bit tricky to get her sitting fully flush against the backrest — scooting her forward slightly makes for a more stable fit. You can also pop out the face unit on the top cover, or open any of the 10 small hatches on the top and bottom to attach additional equipment.

This kit can be configured in a total of four different modes: Operation Mode A/B and Live Mode A/B. Operation Mode is, as the name suggests, a piloting-style setup, while Live Mode is all about playing music. Live Mode A recreates a keyboard performance, and Live Mode B goes for a drum performance — both are really fun setups. Live Mode B in particular even includes drum sticks, so you can pull off a pretty convincing drumming scene.

With all these moving parts, the locking strength of the various gimmicks is actually better than expected. I was a bit worried given how large and heavy the kit is, but that's one thing you really don't need to stress about.

Personally, this is my favorite kit in the Gigantic Arms lineup — the build quality and durability feel solid, and the functionality is pretty impressive too. Sure, the price isn't cheap by any means, but if you're collecting Frame Arms Girls, this is a great accessory kit that's well worth the fun. :-)
